About The Position

SOLV Energy is looking for a Process and QA Manager to join our Software Engineering Team to ensure we are providing high quality work and service to our (mostly internal) customers. We are seeking someone who will collaborate within the team to optimize lean and effective processes, successfully coordinate with external teams and business leadership, and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement and growth. Members of the Software Engineering team support our custom software for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting. This role can be fully remote, or hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related
  • 5+ years of project or product management
  • Demonstrated, exceptional organizational skills and an aptitude to learn
  • Ability to keep track of multiple, complex projects across systems and in various states of development and facilitate coordination across software engineers, stakeholders, end users, and business leaders
  • Experience testing software applications, identifying bugs, validating features against product requirements
  • Proficiency in Product Discovery, Jira, and Confluence
  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
  • Clear and concise communication resulting in the contribution to effective wikis, product requirements, flowcharts, process documentation, and application manuals
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups such as software engineering, field, and business leadership

Responsibilities

  • Achieve an expert level understanding of our custom software system features, the design intent, integrations with other business platforms, and how the applications are utilized
  • Adhering to team processes and tools, collaborate with team leadership to communicate release schedule and content to other teams: host release meetings, send communications, generate documentation, plan and execute training
  • Execute SOX compliant IT controls
  • Verify and validate code changes, suggest UIUX improvements as needed, evaluate and prioritize bug fixes
  • Author technical documentation for team wiki and software manual
  • Create training materials and provide training to end users; identify other opportunities to promote effective use of our tools
  • Bring insights from training and communications to the Software Engineering team to support continuous process and product improvement
  • Troubleshoot application issues as needed and create quality bug reports
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
