About The Position

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna -Evernorth Services Inc. Responsibilities- Build, develop, and support conversational Integrated Voice Responses (IVRs) and perform unit/component testing aligned to business needs; Work with solution architect to provide effort estimates for new projects; Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams and business units to understand business issues and translate business needs into functional specifications; Construct application/service architecture; Develop web-based services on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and locally based platforms; Deliver user interface design documentation and outline backend interfaces to support functionality/development; Identify and address issues, including cross-capability and release issues, that impact the integrity of the applications; Collaborate with design, business, and technology partners to drive technical planning, system integration, systems analysis, design, development, unit/component systems testing, and system maintenance; Create and maintain code, ensure defect-free programming consistent with enterprise standards, provide code maintenance and support during testing cycles and post-production deployment, and participate in peer code reviews; Resolve issues from alerts or customer complaints through root cause analysis/preventative measures; Integrate Jenkins pipelines to automate post-deployment verification; Execute triage, debugging, surveillance, performance, and scalability jobs in non-development environments; and Interface with and steer vendor partner consultants to ensure delivery of appropriate IT solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology and Cybersecurity, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, or related
  • 5 years of experience in software development
  • At least four years of qualifying experience must include Integration Voice Response (IVR) and contact center development experience within a large-scale financial enterprise environment
  • Experience with microservice design, development, and integration
  • Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) gateway integration
  • Experience with monitoring instrumentation using system/data monitoring tools
  • Experience with Java development including Voice Extensible Markup Language (VXML), client backend integration, and design patterns
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Development (CI/CD)-based iterative development
  • Experience with Jira
