Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified candidates for an entry level internship in our Military Avionics & Helicopters Flight Management and Controls department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

Avionics or software development/testing experience.
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment.
Coding experience in Ada, C/C++, or Python.
Requirement management tools: DOORS or JAMA.
Atlassian Suite knowledge (JIRA and Confluence in particular).
Experience with configuration control of documentation, test artifacts and environment setups.

Responsibilities

You will be part of an Agile scrum team
You will participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software for military avionics Flight Management Systems
You will contribute to an engineering team by organizing tasks, coordinating team efforts, asking questions, communicating status, raising issues, brainstorming ideas, helping others, practicing active listening, and promoting a collaborative environment.
