Badger Meter is hiring a Software Engineering Intern this summer onsite at our Los Gatos facility. The Software Engineering Intern will be responsible for software development & implementation, coding, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software. The intern will write programs according to given specifications using tools like Jira, Git, AWS and languages primarily in Python, with exposure to JavaScript, SQL or other languages. The intern will collaborate across departments to learn and understand problems with software.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
First preference to CA students
Sophomore or Junior status (graduating in 2027 or 2028)
No sponsorship provided (we cannot accept OPT, H1B, etc students at this time)
Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products
Programming experience in Python, SQL, and/or other languages
Understanding of version control (Git/GitHub)
