About The Position

We are looking for a qualified Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic software development team in Tucson, Arizona. The duties performed in this position include developing user interface screens for the EAGLE Maintenance Management Information System, creating custom reports, creating dashboards, and translating user requirements into new software solutions. The employee will work with customers and team members to troubleshoot and solve problems, develop new features and capabilities, and automate business processes. Occasionally the employee will assist with system documentation, legacy data conversion, and testing. As an intern you will gain valuable, real-world experience designing and developing commercial software that is used all over the world! This position can be a Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

Requirements

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field and will be at minimum, entering their Junior year by the start of internship
  • Ability to work 20 hours onsite during school year
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, C++, or C#
  • Experience with relational database management systems
  • Knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience Javascript, Ajax, Jquery and web page development frameworks
  • Experience ASP.NET(Core) and Entity Framework
  • Experience with API development and RESTful services
  • AGILE Software Development Experience
  • Experience with Oracle Relational Database Management Systems is a plus
