About The Position

This is an internship role within the Engineering department.
2026 Auctane Summer Internship Program:

Eligibility:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program. Students graduating in May 2026 are not eligible for the program
Duration:
Paid, 9-week internship
Schedule:
40 hours per week, with the exception of the week of July 4th.
Program Dates:
June 9, 2026 — First day of onsite orientation
August 13, 2026 — Final day of the program
Location:
Hybrid role based in Austin, TX
In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Remote: Monday and Friday
Interviews:
Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis through March 31st

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies

Nice To Haves

• Located in or near the Austin, Texas area
• Evidence of your proficiency in one or more areas of the technical stack below
• Full stack applications involving Rest /SOAP/ Web Services
• C#, .NET
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• React
• ExpressJS
• Git
• AWS
• Relational Databases, specifically SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with a team of software engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
• Writing code and contributing to software projects
• Participating in code reviews and pair programming sessions
• Learning and using new technologies and programming languages as needed
• Solving business problems, technical problems, and debugging issues
• Participating in meetings and project planning sessions
• Gaining exposure to and learning about different aspects of the software development lifecycle
