Job Description Quality Engineering (QE) Intern Location: Waltham, MA Program Overview The SS&C Intralinks Quality Engineering Internship Program offers students a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in software quality, test automation, and emerging AI-driven testing technologies. Interns work alongside experienced engineers in an agile environment, contributing to meaningful projects that directly impact a core enterprise platform. This program is designed to help students build practical skills, expand their professional network, and prepare for a potential full-time career in software quality engineering. What You’ll Learn & Do As a QE Intern, you will be embedded within a collaborative, high-performing Quality Engineering team and contribute to a time-bound AI-focused initiative. You will: Gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle within an agile environment Learn how to translate business and technical requirements into test scenarios, stories, and acceptance criteria Analyze and evaluate AI-powered testing tools and contribute recommendations to the team Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) for AI-assisted test case generation Create, update, and expand automated test scripts to improve test coverage Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitHub Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pre- and post-production testing Develop professional communication skills by identifying risks and escalating blockers early Skills You’ll Develop Software quality assurance and test automation fundamentals Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, and modern scripting tools Practical exposure to AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) and large language model concepts Experience working in agile teams with continuous integration and deployment practices Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical decision-making Who Should Apply This internship is ideal for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn modern quality engineering practices. Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Interest or coursework in software testing, automation, or AI/ML concepts
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, or Python)

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools, scripting languages, or testing frameworks is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle within an agile environment
