Our program provides solutions in the Overhead Persistent-Infrared Missile Warning domain. We maintain and enhance Lockheed Martin's world class heritage solutions in the planning, tasking, and ground systems which are relied upon by today's warfighters. Additionally, we are active in building out mission solutions necessary for the proliferated space era. We are seeking an Associate Software Manager to help lead Software Engineering teams in the Overhead Persistent Infrared domain. In this role, you will: Have exciting opportunities to grow your leadership skills and experience under an seasoned and supportive leadership group. Drive continuous improvement efforts to create the best working environment for our talented Software Engineering Teams. Lead a team of software engineers to set goals aligned with the Lockheed values, providing training, guidance, and mentoring to include recurring and annual performance assessments. Collaborate with peers and drive software creation work through program milestones with an eye toward being on schedule and on budget to commitments. You are passionate leader, someone who loves an opportunity and always rises to the occasion to ensure results of those around you. You embrace modern development practices and enable others do as well. You are a self-starting leader, savvy at leading change and will be eager to introduce automation when necessary. You communicate well and enjoy working with others in a collaborative environment. Selected candidate must have an active Secret security clearance for consideration. This is a MID-SR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
