Support Space Development Agency (SDA) Transport and Tracking Layer portfolio software design, integration, test, and transition to operations. Portfolio includes over one hundred communication satellites operating in constellation. Software is at the core of our operation, tying together payload, bus, and ground software elements, products, and data to ensure the system operates as intended. This position cuts across product-focused IPTs to ensure Software Systems (SWSE) is effective and efficient. In this role, you will be leading a Flight Software Development product team and will also be ensuring that Space Vehicle Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs) are delivered on time and are compatible/interoperable to support downstream Program critical needs.

  • Strong communicator and able to lead effective SWSE technical interchange meetings
  • Ability to operate across functions and software–related IPTs; collaborative
  • Has software systems integration related experience
  • Takes initiative in defining technical gaps and providing solutions
  • Technical team leadership experience
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Firm Fixed Price experience
  • Exposure to end-to-end (system or system-of-systems) test

Nice To Haves

  • Prior team building experience
  • Prior experience on National Security Space (NSS) Programs

Responsibilities

  • Owns the staffing, development, and execution of a FSW development team
  • Develop, own, and maintain the Program SWSE Integration tether
  • Collaborates across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure key Software deliverables arrive on time to support Program early integration and formal test events for ATLO, System Test, and MOS
  • Champion opportunities for early integration to reduce technical risk ahead of launch.
  • Lead tracking and management of Program integration related actions and findings.
  • Coordinate cross functionally to ensure seamless execution to further promote horizontal and vertical (Space to Ground) integration.
