About The Position

As an Analyst, Software Engineer, you will assist in developing, testing, and deploying software solutions and automations that enhance Interra’s internal systems and member services. You will work under the direction of more experienced software engineers to build foundational programming skills and learn how to integrate applications within our environment. You will support automation and system enhancement projects, follow established coding standards, and participate in documenting and communicating technical processes. This role provides hands-on experience with multiple technologies and is designed as an entry point into the Software Engineering career path, with opportunities to grow into more complex development responsibilities over time. Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience with one or more programming languages plus familiarity with Jack Henry development tools. Exposure to automation, scripting, or application development preferred.
  • This level of knowledge is acquired through completion of an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Business, Analytics, or related field.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining code for Interra’s systems and automation platforms, including languages and tools such as PowerOn, HTML, PowerShell, Python, and other relevant programming technologies. Help set up parameters in Symitar and OpCon, and document updates according to established standards. Work with business units and business analysts to gather requirements and begin learning how to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Support analysis and problem-solving efforts by identifying issues, researching potential solutions, and implementing supervised fixes for simple to moderately complex problems. Collaborate with vendors, project teams, and IT staff during configuration, testing, and deployment of solutions.
  • Learn and apply automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes, working closely with senior software engineers. Participate in documenting workflows, maintaining solution and process documentation, and updating project tickets under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Assist with developing basic BI reports and support data analysis tasks using Interra’s BI toolset. Help gather and organize data required for reporting and decision-making.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide concise progress updates on assigned tasks. Assist with unit testing and validation of new solutions in development and test environments. Maintain, update, and close service and change tickets in a timely manner once supervised tasks are complete.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Military Lending Act (MLA), Service Member Credit Relief Act (SCRA) and HMDA.
