About The Position

Join Cisco’s fastest growing product group, the DSE Routing team, where we champion new methodologies and create scalable software solutions. You will be part of a diverse and expert group, collaborating across geographies to shape the future of network technology. Your Impact: As part of a diverse Cisco IOS XR team, you will play an integral part in software development process. A successful candidate for this role can be flexible, quickly learning new skills and taking responsibility for tasks and features. You will be solving new problems and tackling new challenges every day, with a focus on quality and attention to detail, supported by a team of fellow engineers to deliver new functionality and improvements to our customers. You will be developing a new feature or a fully automated test, investigating a problem, or using our test tools to ensure that our software is always high quality. Technology that you work in could be in Programmability, Routing Infra, etc

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master's in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous programming experience with C or C++
  • Automation experience with Python
  • Experience with CI/CD and API design

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in networking, including experience with networking protocols such as (IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, RIP, etc.)
  • Experience using GO programming language to write unit tests
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in network virtualization development
  • Experienced with modern software tools and techniques for development/debugging and validated software design and development skills
