This hybrid role is based in Boston, MA, offering a blend of remote and on-site collaboration. You will work closely with a team dedicated to advancing the athenaCollector product. Team Summary In athenaCollector, we develop technology solutions that automate Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). Our team focuses on implementing the essential medical back-office processes that automate and integrate the unique requirements of the claims cycle. By building scalable and reliable software, we help healthcare providers streamline their billing and claims operations, ultimately improving financial outcomes and patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of engineering experience in a product development environment.
  • Proficiency in Java full stack development, including hands-on experience with Spring Boot and ReactJS.
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile team setting and contribute to continuous delivery practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS EC2, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is desirable.
  • Experience or interest in GraphQL and workflow automation tools like Camunda is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java full stack applications using Spring Boot and ReactJS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of code quality and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of applications using AWS EC2, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation to support development and operational activities.
  • Engage in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
  • Support infrastructure automation using Terraform and related tools.
  • Explore and implement GraphQL and workflow automation technologies such as Camunda.
  • Contribute to testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and team learning initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring application performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product management to clarify requirements and provide technical input.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to healthcare software.
