About The Position

As a API developer on the team, your primary role will be designing, building, testing, and supporting various middleware solutions. You will be implementing these solutions using Java REST API’s on our Performance and Analytics/Insights Platform team. You will participate in defining and implementing class leading engineering solutions for our technology products; demonstrating engineering excellence to the rest of the team. You are encouraged to quickly gain an understanding of all the components of our platform contributing to strategic roadmaps and initiatives.
The delivery team is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Portfolio Analytics and Insights solutions to our various client and advisor channels to enable our customers to make informed decisions on their portfolio of investments. Our team works closely across various internal business units to understand their roadmaps and strategy and work together to ensure we provide solutions to address the business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
• 4+ years hands on software developer passionate about engineering excellence, highly focused, innovative, self-starter, collaborator, and someone who’s eager to learn help others.
• Proven experience working with REST, JSON and APIs
• Experience in a micro-service architecture solutioning for scalability, availability, intelligent monitoring, performance, and how to design proactively to avoid them.
• Skilled in all aspects of software development lifecycle including API design, development, testing, deployment and support
• Experience in cloud-based solutions using AWS
• Ability to work with others, helping prioritize the work based on strategic nature, importance, and impact.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated Financial analytics/planning experience a plus
