About The Position

We're looking for a Software Engineer to work on Gold Fish Casino Slots -- one of our flagship titles played by hundreds of thousands of people every day. Here's what makes this role different from most: we're not hiring for client or server. We're hiring for the whole game. On any given day you might be in Unity and C# building slot content or UI systems, or in PHP and Couchbase working on game server features, or in the admin tooling stack -- a PHP backend with Vue.js on the front. The layer depends on what the game needs. That's the job, and for the right person, that's the appeal. The codebase has history. This is a live product that has been shipping for years. Initiatives have been started, partially completed, and left alongside the patterns they were meant to replace. You'll encounter competing approaches in the same file. We're not going to pretend otherwise -- every engineer who has worked on a real product knows this is just the reality of shipping. What we're looking for is someone who sees that and gets curious . The right person asks: why is it like this? Which of these approaches actually moves things forward? Where can I take a meaningful bite out of this while still delivering what players are waiting for? You're not trying to fix everything at once, but you're not going to close a ticket without thinking about the bigger picture, either. You're looking ahead with optimism, not behind with regret. Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with development tools, debugging, and version control
• Strong organizational skills -- able to break a high-level task into actionable pieces and deliver within the required timeframe
• Relentlessly curious -- you dig until you understand why, not just what
• Critical thinker -- you don't accept the first answer; you pressure-test it
• Team oriented -- you make the people around you better
