We are searching for the best talent for a Software Engineer, to be located in Santa Clara, CA. We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and experience working in Linux environments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record building robust, high-performance systems, familiarity with Python (a plus), and an understanding of computer security principles and practices. This role will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of core software components and will collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, hardware, QA, and product) to deliver secure, reliable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience, with hands-on experience in C++ (modern C++ preferred).
  • Strong experience developing and debugging software on Linux platforms.
  • Solid understanding of systems programming concepts: processes/threads, Inter-Process Communication (IPC), memory management, concurrency, and performance profiling.
  • Demonstrated experience with version control, automated build systems, and unit/integration testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Position must be located in Santa Clara, CA.
  • This role may require up to 5% travel for cross-site collaboration, hardware bring-up, or field support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python for tooling, testing, or prototyping.
  • Familiarity with security standards, threat modeling, secure SDLC practices, static/dynamic analysis tools, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
  • Experience with embedded or robotics/real-time systems, device integration, or simulation/game-style environments.
  • Experience with networking and distributed systems, containers, or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with build systems (CMake), scripting (Bash), and continuous integration systems.
  • Understanding of computer security fundamentals (secure coding, common vulnerabilities, authentication/authorization, cryptography basics).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, review, and maintain high-quality C++ software libraries and applications targeted for Linux-based systems.
  • Lead architecture and design efforts for new and existing software components; propose and implement scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Implement, test, and optimize performance-critical code with attention to reliability and resource efficiency in real-world environments.
  • Integrate and debug software on hardware platforms; participate in bring-up and system-level validation.
  • Apply secure coding practices and threat-aware design; work with security engineers to identify, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership to other engineers; perform code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with product teams, PMO, QA, systems, and UX teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design notes, and runbooks for operations and troubleshooting.
