About The Position

This role is based at our Las Vegas office, where our software, hardware, and systems teams work side-by-side. As a Software Engineer at EO Solutions, you’ll take a hands-on role in developing mission-critical systems that support Space Domain Awareness (SDA). This is not a narrow software development role — it’s a multidisciplinary engineering position where you’ll design, prototype, and deploy software that interacts with real-world sensors, supports operational decision-making, and adapts to fast-changing mission needs. You’ll work across the entire development lifecycle — from early-stage R&D to fielded deployments — contributing to both back-end and front-end systems, algorithm development, and infrastructure automation. Whether you're deploying services to edge devices in remote environments or refining code based on operator feedback, your work will directly impact national defense capabilities. We're looking for engineers who can think critically, operate independently, and communicate effectively with teammates from different engineering backgrounds. If you're energized by solving hard problems, working with physical systems, and building things that get used in the real world, you’ll thrive here.

  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database design and usage
  • Skilled in both rapid prototyping and production-grade development , with sound judgment on when each applies
  • Solid understanding of software architecture , design patterns , and engineering best practices
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from a U.S. institution
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Background in research prototyping, defense systems, or mission-critical deployments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative algorithms for tracking, image processing, and data fusion
  • Design and build robust software systems for sensor control and mission operations
  • Prototype and deploy containerized applications to cloud , on-premise , and edge computing environments
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and field operators to translate mission needs into working software
  • Write and maintain high-quality , well-tested , and observable code with clear documentation
  • Contribute to architecture planning , technical discussions , and code reviews to ensure a scalable and maintainable codebase
