About The Position

As a Software Engineer in the Docusign Developer Experience team, you will be responsible for building foundational tools and services for our next-generation agreement platform. Your solutions will be used by multiple Docusign product teams, partners, and customers. You will work with multiple partner teams, designing and architecting solutions to onboard them on our agreement platform. The Developer Experience team builds API SaaS products that scale to meet a wide range of customers’ needs and abstract complex agreement management processes. The successful candidate will have a strong product engineering background and proficiency in .NET. You’ll enjoy entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You’ll collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You will help the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggesting ways to make the team more effective, and modeling engineering best practices. As a member of the Developer Experience engineering group, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and platform engineers to ensure high quality and timely product releases. You are a hands-on technical person who will be responsible for issues related to product features, performance, speed, scale, security and accessibility. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager of Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • Experience working with C#, .Net Core,Java, SQL Database and Designing Large scale distributed systems
  • Experience delivering a SaaS product

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building/consuming RESTful web-services
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Knowledge and experience in large-scale, highly available (99.99+) systems on Azure
  • Experiences with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (git) build process, testing, and code release
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Agile and Test-driven development methodologies
  • Ability and desire to move across technology stacks

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code in C# .NET, Java or other object-oriented languages
  • Create high-quality, user-focused experiences using RESTful APIs
  • Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, Automated unit testing, Continuous integration, Code reviews, Version control systems, and Automated build processes
  • Research and implement new features and technologies
  • Identify and raise issues that may impact delivery commitments
  • Troubleshoot and fix production issues, and maintain the codebase
  • Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant systems
  • Articulate clear Software Engineering strategies, plans, goals and objectives across multiple Engineering domains, projects and teams, including cross-functional partners
  • Lead troubleshooting and remediation efforts during high-severity incidents
  • Collaborate with a cross-site development team to drive the design, implementation, testing, and release of products
