This position follows a hybrid work model (2 days onsite) and is open to candidates located in Portsmouth, NH; Boston, MA; Plano, TX; Indianapolis, IN. GTE Platform Engineering enables USRM IT to deliver innovative solutions with less effort by researching & engineering innovative capabilities based on technology like: Cloud Services, LLM’s and more or by consulting on these capabilities/platforms and their integration with into our business’s holistic Business solutions. Our customers are all based in or moving to AWS, so we enable their cloud-based needs with cloud-native solutions. As a member of GTE you will be serving Liberty’s largest business unit and will play a key role in the delivery of market-leading experiences for our customers, agents, and partners. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our established team, where you will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your skills in building innovative tools, solutions or products needed by our customers. You will work on a modern technology stack consisting of AWS Services like EKS, ECS, Lambda, API’s etc. using Java, Python or Groovy as well as infrastructure as code tools like AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform to ensure our products reduce our customer’s effort and improve their velocity. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Strong familiarity with AWS services, Java, Python, Groovy, Cloud Formation Templates, Terraform, Docker, Microservices
  • 3+ years of professional tech experience
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and consensus-building capabilities
  • Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances
  • Knowledge of and ability to personally demonstrate and utilize many of the techniques, processes and tools that drive inclusion and engagement of all employees with a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives
  • Experience with CI/CD practices & Agile DevOps Principles and Processes
  • Hands-on involvement with layered systems architectures, designs and shared software concepts
  • Familiarity with functional and system integration testing
  • Familiarity of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts and principles
  • Awareness of policies regarding security and privacy
  • Track record of personal and technical growth and a desire to continue growing.
