About The Position

Intrepid Solutions is seeking a Senior SETA Software Engineer to provide independent technical advisory support to US Army TENCAP. The selected candidate will support full lifecycle software engineering efforts across US Army TENCAP acquisition programs, ensuring technical rigor, compliance, and alignment with mission objectives. This role supports US Army TENCAP Program Managers (PMs) by providing expert guidance on software development, integration, testing, and sustainment activities.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required. We are unable to provide sponsorship of initial clearance or upgrade of existing clearance. Candidates without currently active TS/SCI clearances are ineligible for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field +10 years of software engineering or systems engineering experience OR 15 years of work experience
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience or systems engineering
  • Experience supporting DoD/Army programs in a SETA or advisory capacity
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with CMMI Level 3 practices
  • Experience providing technical evaluation and participation support in formal acquisition and engineering reviews, including: SRR, PDR, CDR, and Acceptance Testing
  • Experience assessing and analyzing customized software solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Experience reviewing contractor deliverables for technical adequacy, compliance, and adherence to DoD/Army standards

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or Agile certification preferred.
  • Eperience assessing AI / ML-enabled systems preferred
  • DevSecOps and CI / CD pipeline familiarity preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight and advisory support across all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements, development, architecture, integration, test, documentation, and sustainment
  • Support technology evaluations and make/buy decisions
  • Assess customized software and hardware development efforts and associated hardware requirements
  • Participate in and evaluate formal technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, Acceptance Testing)
  • Review contractor deliverables for technical quality, compliance, and risk
  • Provide oversight of Agile software development processes and DevSecOps practices
  • Ensure alignment with CMMI Level 3+ processes and DoD acquisition guidance
  • Use JIRA and related tools to monitor backlog, sprint execution, and development metrics
