Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software in an Agile development environment using Python, Scala, SQL, and Databricks
  • Working with AWS technologies including IAM, S3, Airflow, and Athena
  • Processing data using Big Data technologies, including Spark, Presto, and Snowflake
  • Working with distributed systems
  • Developing machine learning models for advertising platforms, including traffic shaping for both inbound and outbound traffic, ROI-based shaping, and marketplace exchange traffic shaping
  • Using Lightgbm to develop machine learning models
  • Optimizing, testing, and deploying machine learning models
  • Performing A/B testing
  • Developing software in a Linux environment

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team responsible for developing software in an Agile development environment using Python, Scala, SQL, and Databricks
  • Work with AWS technologies including IAM, S3, Airflow, and Athena
  • Process data using Big Data technologies, including Spark, Presto, and Snowflake
  • Work with distributed systems
  • Develop machine learning models for advertising platforms, including traffic shaping for both inbound and outbound traffic, ROI-based shaping, and marketplace exchange traffic shaping
  • Use Lightgbm to develop machine learning models
  • Optimize, test, and deploy machine learning models
  • Perform A/B testing
  • Develop software in a Linux environment
  • Support applications under development and customize current applications
  • Assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases
  • Analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications
  • Document all development activity
  • Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products
  • Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements
