Software Engineer
About The Position
As a Software Engineer , you will build the infrastructure that allows us to do high quality and fast research. You'll be owning and developing pipelines that process massive EEG datasets and writing the infrastructure that powers our physical experiments and data analysis. You will be powering work allowing for neural decoding technology while working alongside world-class researchers pushing the boundaries of what's possible in brain-computer interfaces. You might be a good fit if you Have 5+ years of production software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python and systems-level architecture. Have built and maintained high-performance data pipelines for processing and storing massive datasets. Are comfortable building the infrastructure and front-end tools required to visualize experimental stimuli in real-time. Have a background in managing entire software stacks, cloud infrastructure, and dependency management. Are capable of working across the full stack to debug low-level system performance issues or architect new foundational services. Enjoy owning the entire technical lifecycle of a project, from initial design to production deployment and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python and systems-level architecture.

- Experience developing internal libraries, SDKs, or tooling that powers machine learning and computational neuroscience workflows.
- Built core Python infrastructure like interpreters, package ecosystems, typing tools, or maintained widely-used open-source Python developer tools with significant adoption
- Expertise in Python performance optimization, including experience with Cython, profiling tools, or optimizing Python runtimes
