Role Description: Applies science and/or engineering techniques to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Specifies functional requirements, designs computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems. Design and develop advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and program in high order languages.

Requirements

Clearance Level: Secret
Education: Bachelors degree of science in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university.
Experience: A relevant masters degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience. A relevant PHD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.
Software Engineer - Mid: Shall have four (4) years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases (flat-file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems. In addition must have two (2) years experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages.
Software Engineer - Senior: Shall have ten (10) years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems. In addition must have four (4) years experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages.
Experience with: Unix/Ultrix, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/CMS, Harris VOS C, C++, ADA, FORTRAN
Gitlab: integration and migration
