About The Position

Work with engineering teams to review customer requirements submitted through tickets and determine if modifications to existing systems or installation of new systems can meet these requirements. Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. What You Will Do: Use information gathered from customers to design systems based on customer capability and performance requirements to solve customer problems. Work with other engineering teams to work “bug” tickets to fix software errors and meet customer requirements. Use information gathered from customer tickets and Red Hat documentation to design software solutions for customers. Consult with customers and internal Red Hat teams to track progress and report status on various projects. Coordinate with internal Red Hat engineering teams on the best methods and procedures to install software. Publicize work through blogs, web postings, or conference talks. Work as part of a team responsible for a wide range of enablement and support of the container platform for 5G telecommunication companies, contributing to industry-leading technologies in the Kubernetes ecosystem. Develop and integrate changes in multiple projects to troubleshoot, analyze bugs, determine root causes, and provide resolutions. Serve as a first point of contact for several Red Hat OpenShift Engineering teams from either our support team or any of a number of outward-facing groups. Review and validate design and enhancement proposals and patches from other members. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience with: working in system engineering or DevOps
  • automation tools or scripting languages
  • Linux operation and administration
  • container-related technologies
  • open-source projects and collaboration tools.

  • Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
  • For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
