Reporting to the Director of Digital Services, the Software Engineer will leverage the Agile environment and work closely with our Engineering Teams to develop user focused product interface solutions. The Software Engineer will help set framework standards and expand the frontend technology skillset within the organization. This position will also oversee the frontend technology development performed by the Engineering Team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in frontend development with at least 4 of those specializing in Vue3 recent versions
• Expert with JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue3

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficient with responsive design and Image standards
• Vue3 expertise on recent versions
• Strong understanding of Accessibility requirements
• Experience with Micro-frontends
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI and JSON data integration for decoupled / headless frontends
• Knowledge of Git repo processes
• Experience with Azure DevOps for story/work management and release pipelines
• Familiarity working in tandem with backend .NET developers or similar
• Familiarity with Scrum / Agile development
• Experience with Windows and UNIX operating systems
• Familiarity with Microservices, Docker, AWS, Azure
• General understanding of MS SQL Server and PostgresSQL

Responsibilities

• Create net-new solutions based on recent front end technology versions
• Translate agency mockups into functional requirements and tactical solutions, including the break-down into Agile work items
• Design frontend systems with maintenance, scalability, and longevity in mind
• Facilitate standards through style guides that can support frontend developer activities and ongoing development
• Ensure solutions are optimized for browser-based user experiences that focus on speed and consistency
• Guide team around accessibility considerations
• Upskill and mentor fellow developers in frontend technology and other frontend best practices
• Keep the team updated on the latest frontend technology specific updates to maintain project’s modernity
• Key member of the Product Sprint team and required to actively participate in Sprint ceremonies
• Estimate, plan, and coordinate frontend activities in conjunction with Agile sprint cadences
• Flexibility to work with team in multiple time zones
• Other duties and assigned
