About The Position
Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to mission success alongside a diverse group of professionals dedicated to innovation and excellence. In this role, the Software Engineer will support Navy C4I programs by designing, developing, and sustaining advanced software solutions that power mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong programming expertise, proficiency with modern development methodologies, and a solid understanding of complex systems to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient software. The Software Engineer will work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional technical teams, and program leadership to ensure all solutions align with DoD standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational objectives.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience applying modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps)
- Strong understanding of software design, development, testing, and deployment in DoD environments
- Knowledge of software development life cycles, coding standards, and secure development practices
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering Mathematics Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or Information Systems
- Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in support of DoD programs
- Apply programming concepts to create, maintain, and enhance mission-critical applications
- Contribute to iterative development cycles within Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to meet program objectives
- Ensure software development aligns with secure coding standards, DoD policies, and life cycle best practices
