At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Software Engineer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to solve complex IT issues while delivering outstanding customer service. GDIT is seeking highly cleared creative software engineer candidate with active TS SCI w/Poly to support our customer by joining a small, energetic, versatile team building a high-visibility web application for managing facilities projects. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, a team player, be highly collaborative and highly responsive. Candidate will be expected to work as part of a team to architect, design, and build a new system to replace an existing COTS product.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTM, and CSS
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with Spring Bot, Hibernate/JPA
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with upgrading Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, especially from much older versions to newer versions
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.,)
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with building APIs and services using REST
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Agile Environments
  • Agile Methodology
  • 5 + years of related experience
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated hands on experience with Linux-based or Windows based systems and shell scripting
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with building automation technologies like Gradel, Maven, Jenkins, etc.,
  • Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress)
  • Demonstrated experience with WebSphere or Tomcat
  • Demonstrated experience with Maximo
  • Demonstrated experience with Cognos
