About The Position

Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Lead software advancement on agile team to deliver working, tested software. Work in a collaborative environment that includes design, and pairing and mobbing with cross-functional team members. Validate and release applications using continuous integration and continuous delivery tools including development of automated testing. Establish functional messaging simulations in test environment (Web server solutions; data translation layers for IT interface solutions) for legacy and emerging technical architectures. Help shape the product vision by providing your input on the user experiences (Build Verification; Birth History; Component traceability). Communicate effectively with product owners, product designers, software engineers, and other technical experts to maintain manufacturing operation system uptime. Continuously upskill to share leading industry standards with team. Demonstrate technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical excellence. Provide frontend and backend expertise and mentorship to other software engineers through design and code reviews, documentation, best agile practices, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Professional full-stack software development experience: Web services (SOAP, XML and Rest APIs) and Visual Studio suite toolset (C#, ASP.NET, and MVC framework).
  • 2. Oracle (stored procedures, triggers, and PLSQL) and Windows services (long running applications for data processing, background processing, and event handling).
  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Frontend (HTML, jQuery, CSS, and JavaScript), middleware (WCF).
  • 2. Continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (Jenkins, JFrog, and Github).
  • 3. eXtreme Programming (XP) disciplines including Paired programming, and Test-first/test-driven development (TDD).
  • 1 year of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Professional technical manufacturing work with architecture and software design patterns and machine messaging.
