About The Position

Software Engineers at Trimble Maps are responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining world-class products. This specific position requires improving existing high availability web services and web apps, plus implementing new products and features in the same areas. The role demands a fundamentally strong coder and a persistent problem solver who has a bias for taking action, experimenting, iterating quickly, offering ideas, and speaking up. The ideal candidate can see the end goal and has the determination to deliver results iteratively, is curious to build knowledge, share knowledge, and learn new skills, and insists on high standards from both products and teammates alike.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, or similar degree
0-5 years of professional experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Attempted something difficult and have either succeeded or failed
Ability to work with an Agile team, with a focus on the outcome more than the process
Excellent coding, debugging, and problem solving skills
Understanding of object oriented concepts and SOLID coding principles
Professional or academic experience coding in any of: C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Golang
Experience with AWS or similar public cloud platforms and services
Experience using complex data structures and algorithms to solve problems
Desire to automate integration testing, build/deployment pipelines, and everything else in sight
