The Opportunity

Our location in San Diego, California has an opportunity for a Software Enginee r . The Software Engineer role is within the RMDx R&D Software & Connectivity organization, working on diagnostic instrument products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field required.
• Related experience in Java software development, Linux operating systems or platform development and UI development preferably in React
• Experience with writing unit tests for the code you develop
• Ability to come on site 5 days a week, San Diego office.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with embedded software development is a plus
• Experience as an intern developing software is a plus
• Master's Degree

Responsibilities

• Agile Execution: Deliver robust quality software (code reviewed, unit tested, detail design documents, well commented) to the planned schedule
• Documentation : Summarize and present details of designs in collaborative design reviews
• Security and Compliance: Follows all Abbott software coding standards and processes.
