About The Position

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Software Engineer with a desire to grow while working with a skilled and highly motivated team on leading-edge work. Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. Each team member has opportunities to take on responsibilities according to their experience level and professional growth goals. Our staff mentors each other in the areas of expertise, continuously enhancing the synergistic capability of the team. This position supports an established contract developing mission-critical operations. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Scientific, or Technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• At least 2 years of experience supporting Navy or Joint systems
• Proficiency in at least two (2) of the following: Windows environments Linux (e.g., Red Hat) C / C++ Java
• Experience developing software for complex, large-scale systems
• Ability to write unit tests for Java and/or C++ applications
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance
• Clearance Level - Final Position Requirement Active Secret

Responsibilities

• Provide software engineering technical support across program initiatives
• Participate in software design reviews and code reviews
• Perform requirements analysis and decomposition
• Develop code to model system behavior using functional flows and system descriptions
• Support the development of technical presentations and engineering reports
• Collaborate within Agile teams using pair programming and swarming techniques
• Contribute to the development and testing of software applications
