As a Software Engineer within PNC's C&IB's organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. Develops, tests and implements software solutions. Designs software solutions to address business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in Java, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
  • Experience with Selenium, Junit, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience with IntelliJ IDE.
  • Proficiency using version control systems like GIT, Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for bug tracking and reporting.
  • Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, implement, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using QFaaS, Karate, and BDD tools like Cucumber.
  • Execute functional, regression, system integration, end-to-end, accessibility.
  • Collaborate with developers, QEs, and POs to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Create and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test result documentation.
  • Track and report quality metrics including defect density, test coverage, and execution status using JIRA, X-Ray, and Confluence.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Mentor QA team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Promote best practices in Agile, DevOps, and test-driven development (BDD/TDD).
  • Effectively assess and manage risks in alignment with PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
