About The Position

As a Software Engineer supporting the mission suite, you will help build, sustain, and evolve operational software that analysts and operators depend on every day. Requirements

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 7 years of relevant experience
  • 9 years of Software Engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Strong Linux command-line proficiency
  • Software development experience with Python (3.x)
  • Bash scripting experience
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or containerd
  • Experience deploying and managing services in Kubernetes environments
  • Familiarity with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Knowledge of messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab CI
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible
  • Experience using Git for source control
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in operational environments
  • Willingness to learn new languages or technologies, including Rust

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems
  • Background in mission or intelligence environments

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and integrating new features into mission applications
  • Troubleshooting production issues and resolving defects in operational systems
  • Writing Python and Bash code to support automation and platform functionality
  • Deploying and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes environments
  • Collaborating with system engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders
  • Integrating COTS, GOTS, and open-source components into existing solutions
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes
  • Enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Documenting changes and contributing to technical planning discussions
