About The Position

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to support the development and deployment of scalable, cloud-based software solutions in a mission-focused environment for an Intelligence Customer. The Software Engineer will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining reliable applications and infrastructure using modern programming languages and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 14 years of relevant experience.
• Required experience developing software with Go and Python.
• Required experience using Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Required experience working with AWS services and tooling.
• Experience supporting cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a secure, mission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Go and Python.
• Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform in AWS environments.
• Build and support cloud-native services and integrations leveraging AWS tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support deployment, integration, and sustainment of software in production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to software documentation and development best practices.
