We are responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the Okta Identity Cloud. Our team doesn't just find bugs; we build sophisticated automated testing frameworks, tools, and processes to prevent them from ever reaching our users. We offer 12 week internships in the U.S. in the Summer and 16 week co-ops in Canada. Requirements
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, with the ability to code in at least one language (e.g., Java, C#, Python)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- A genuine interest in software quality and test automation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how web applications work
- B.S. or MS in Computer Science or related field (Expected Graduation - May/June 2027)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with front-end UI test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Familiarity with API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) concepts
- Previous internship experience in a software development or QA role
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, or GCP
Responsibilities
- Work closely with your mentor and development team to understand product features and design effective test strategies
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests to improve test coverage for new and existing features
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our core test automation frameworks and tools
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
- Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high standard of code quality in both product and test code
