What you'll do... Position: Software Engineer III Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duties: Design and implement complex features in Walmart’s back-end data aggregate system. Define roadmaps for the team by working closely with product and technology partners. Design the frameworks for test automations. Maintain Walmart back-end data to ensure accuracy and durability and build reliable business applications. Provide documentation for all the solutions in place. Participate in complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions. Gather requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames) from partners. Communicate with team members about status and issues. Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills. Skills Required: Experience designing and implementing applications in Scala. Experience maintaining a data management system in Java. Experience maintaining and managing data in Cassandra. Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to manage and load configurations. Experience consuming and publishing data through teams and departments with Kafka. Experience deploying back-end servers with Tomcat. Experience building muti-thread tasks and deploying them in Hadoop cluster. Experience creating data fix and comparison scripts with Python. Experience designing and testing applications with Mockito. Experience building data management system with Spring Framework. Experience building and deploying services with Jenkins. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
