About The Position

What you'll do... Position: Software Engineer III Job Location: 1 Customer Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716 Duties: Requirement and Scoping Analysis: understands the Business, Stakeholder, and Technical requirements and assists in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs. Prepares requirement traceability matrix and maintains traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design, and test cases. Contributes to the creation of user stories for component, module, and simple requirements (e.g., based on scalability etc.). Coding: creates and configures minimalistic code for entire component or application, and ensure the components are meeting business and technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs. Assists selection of appropriate languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.), development standards, and tools (e.g., Monday.com, Linx, Embold, etc.) for software coding and/or configuration. Takes initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Testing or any other process, as applicable. Implements telemetry features as needed. Ensures security policy requirements are properly applied to components and/or application during code development/configuration. Testing: maps the customer requirements to test objectives. Identify and create test cases for the component and/or module. Executes test cases to test code and detects errors and/or defects for the entire component. Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on testing needs. Defect Management and Troubleshooting: tracks and analyzes defects for the component and/or module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyzes defects from past projects or solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoots performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. DevOps Orientation: conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently. Monitors and evaluates the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics. Performs maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyzes application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis. Evaluates change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible. Program Monitoring: ensures adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Skills required: Must have experience with: Developing/programming for web-based multi-tier and distributed applications in JAVA/J2EE Platform. Developing Object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) using Java/J2EE Design Patterns. Writing test cases using Junit 5, assertions, parameterized tests, and Spring Boot Test to ensure robust service-layer logic. Developing Advanced REST Client, REST Controller application and REST template calls. Designing and developing Spring Boot microservices for scalable and distributed systems. Managing database iterations using Spring Data JPA with MySQL, Hibernate, AZURE SQL and DB2. Designing and developing event-driven microservices using Spring Boot. Deploying microservices in Docker containers and orchestrated them using Kubernetes. Monitoring system performance using Prometheus and Grafana, ensuring stability in production. Designing and developing the Database and tables in DB2, JDBC and Microsoft Azure SQL Databases. Leading the end-to-end project development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and support. Working with Azure app services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure virtual machines, Azure key vault. Designing and developing Spring Boot Kafka for real-time data processing. Developing Kafka producers and consumers using Spring Kafka to enable asynchronous message communication between microservices. Performing production maintenance support activities Security Compliance audits. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
