About The Position

What you'll do... Position: Software Engineer III Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030 Duties: Design, build, and deploy software for distributed microservices with specific business logic to production with continuous integration frameworks and event driven frameworks. Develop service-level and business-level metrics to monitor microservices and product flow. Develop and deploy software tools, programs, and metric monitoring processes to address production issues and operational costs. Perform accurate documentation and maintenance of software functionality. Confer with product managers, project managers, and engineers to design large-scale distributed systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Modify existing software and services to correct errors, adapt to new demands, or improve its performance. Apply advanced knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Develop and direct distributed software systems testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Design, develop, and manage high throughput, low latency distributed software applications. Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Requirements

  • Experience designing, building, and deploying software using Object-Oriented Programming languages: C#, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker container technologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing software solutions that improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software issues by investigating failures, analyzing error messages, determining the root cause, and applying appropriate fixes.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing Relational Database Management Systems.
  • Experience building and deploying software using Azure cloud services.
  • Experience managing and developing REST APIs.
  • Experience using software monitoring tools: Kibana, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Experience working with product stakeholders to gather project requirements, limitations, and performance expectations.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
