This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. This role is for the Regional Lead of Pricing & Quoting Technology and will oversee the strategic direction, governance, and delivery of the implementation of our global equity derivatives pricing platform. This includes leadership of the pricing architecture, roadmap execution, and the end to end request for quote (RFQ) workflow used by Sales and Trading, along with connectivity to external market platforms. This role ensures regional alignment with global strategy while shaping local innovation, ensuring resilience, scalability, and competitive advantage in electronic and voice driven derivatives trading. Candidates will be proficient in software design focused around a cross-language REST based n-tier architecture and executed using agile methodologies (Scrum, Test Driven Development, unit/integration testing, pair programming, etc). The successful candidate will be comfortable driving design and architecture, rationalizing business requirements and mentoring less experienced developers. There will be significant interaction with senior developers across other work streams as we integrate an increasingly complex product set.

• 7+ years of applicable technology experience
• Proficient and experienced in either Java or C# - familiarity with the other a bonus
• SQL – preferably Oracle
• Shell scripting and basic Unix knowledge desirable

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automates manual release activities
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• Development of a thorough understanding of our entire technology stack
• Design and development of new features in the existing java server stack, C# client and QZ
