About The Position

Position Summary... The Software Engineer III will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. This position involves analyzing complex requirements, coding with adherence to standards, and implementing automated testing and telemetry features. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to ensure quality, security, and performance while supporting continuous integration and delivery processes. The engineer will also troubleshoot issues, contribute to process improvements, and mentor peers, demonstrating technical expertise and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality software products. What you'll do... About Team: Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites. What you'll do: Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions. Develop, configure, and maintain code components adhering to coding standards and security policies. Design and implement APIs and platform features using iterative and incremental development practices. Build automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and defect resolution to ensure high-quality software delivery. Monitor application performance and implement telemetry for proactive issue detection. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives. Continuously enhance technical skills and adopt emerging tools and technologies. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and coding languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Working experience in DBs like SQL and NoSQL including but not limited to frameworks like Hibernate.
  • Working experience of Microservices architecture and Backend app development using Springboot, and Reactive framework.
  • Deep understanding of Sync, Async paradigm, Event driven systems, GraphQL, REST apis and gRPC.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Experience with requirement analysis, scoping, and preparing traceability matrices to align business and technical needs.
  • Proficiency in debugging, defect management, and root cause analysis to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure software components adhering to coding standards.
  • Familiarity with telemetry, testing tools, and automation for efficient software validation and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and technical acumen to support complex application maintenance and enhancements.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
