Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 2+ years of professional software engineering experience; or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 1+ year of professional software engineering experience; or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
• These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining production software with high correctness and availability requirements.
• Experience operating cloud‑based services on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, including service reliability, monitoring, and live‑site support.
• Experience applying AI to accelerate software development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate reliable, scalable billing services and data pipelines that support Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI workloads, including high‑volume usage and telemetry processing.
• Leverage AI and automation techniques to improve billing system accuracy, anomaly detection, validation, and operational efficiency.
• Own the end‑to-end development of features from design through production, including code quality, testing, monitoring, and live‑site support.
• Collaborate with partner teams across AI platform, commerce, finance, and infrastructure to deliver billing solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
• Apply sound engineering practices to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability, identifying and resolving issues in complex distributed systems.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and reviews, providing input on architecture, trade‑offs, and implementation details.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and engineering patterns to evolve the billing platform and support future AI innovation.
