Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 2+ years of professional software engineering experience; or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 1+ year of professional software engineering experience; or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining production software with high correctness and availability requirements.
Experience operating cloud‑based services on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, including service reliability, monitoring, and live‑site support.
Experience applying AI to accelerate software development tasks.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate reliable, scalable billing services and data pipelines that support Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI workloads, including high‑volume usage and telemetry processing.
Leverage AI and automation techniques to improve billing system accuracy, anomaly detection, validation, and operational efficiency.
Own the end‑to‑end development of features from design through production, including code quality, testing, monitoring, and live‑site support.
Collaborate with partner teams across AI platform, commerce, finance, and infrastructure to deliver billing solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
Apply sound engineering practices to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability, identifying and resolving issues in complex distributed systems.
Contribute to technical design discussions and reviews, providing input on architecture, trade‑offs, and implementation details.
Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and engineering patterns to evolve the billing platform and support future AI innovation.
