ITA is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team at ITA HQ, Newport News, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering. Related fields (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science)
  • Relevant experience includes at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: operational code; algorithms; computer architecture ; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example, advanced statistics, calculus, discrete mathematics).
  • Experience with production code and complex pipeline/architecture
  • Experience in Databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience in Python development
  • Secret Clearance ability to Obtain and Maintain

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of software engineering and architecture, including data science related
  • Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;
  • Experience in Microsoft PowerBI
  • Ability to work in an open team environment;
  • Security first mindset;
  • Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a part of agile development teams,delivers an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for existing Navy Customer;
  • Lead architecture design and development for data pipeline;
  • Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
  • Provides support for compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures (e.g. CMMC, secure software, etc.)
  • Lead Dashboard Design activities
  • Contribute to the development complex ML & data science based scripts, and/or templates, and dashboard
  • Contributing to the design of information and operational support systems;
  • Providing assistance with Enterprise Application Development
