ITA is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team at ITA HQ, Newport News, VA.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering. Related fields (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science)
Relevant experience includes at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: operational code; algorithms; computer architecture ; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example, advanced statistics, calculus, discrete mathematics).
Experience with production code and complex pipeline/architecture
Experience in Databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, etc.)
Experience in Python development
Secret Clearance ability to Obtain and Maintain

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of software engineering and architecture, including data science related
Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;
Experience in Microsoft PowerBI
Ability to work in an open team environment;
Security first mindset;
Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

Serving as a part of agile development teams,delivers an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for existing Navy Customer;
Lead architecture design and development for data pipeline;
Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
Provides support for compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures (e.g. CMMC, secure software, etc.)
Lead Dashboard Design activities
Contribute to the development complex ML & data science based scripts, and/or templates, and dashboard
Contributing to the design of information and operational support systems;
Providing assistance with Enterprise Application Development
