About The Position

Our mission is to build experiences in Copilot that help users make confident real‑world decisions—where to go, eat, meet, explore—powered by high‑quality grounded responses, generative UX, and proactive, context-aware capabilities. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to build key features across the Copilot stack, including server-side application, prompting, and cross-surface UI rendering. This role offers significant ownership, technical depth, and the opportunity to shape some of Copilot’s most user-impacting experiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build secure, scalable, compliant code using AI; review human- and AI-generated code.
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain features.
  • Use logs, telemetry, and experiments to validate assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use debugging tools and logs to diagnose issues.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and design docs, ensuring performance, reliability, accessibility, privacy compliance.
  • Collaborate across teams to identify dependencies, integrate systems.
