About The Position

We're seeking someone to join our team as a software engineer II in Treasury, Planning and Capital Technology products used to size and manage the firm's liquidity, unsecured funding and capital resources. This includes intraday liquidity and cash management; calculation, forecasting and stress testing of liquidity and capital measures; resolution planning; budgeting and financial planning including forecasting of revenue, expenses and balance sheet; accessing unsecured funding markets; and delivering firmwide management reporting and analytics. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineer II position at Associate level which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs. You are required to be a technologist with solid command on distributed development tools and tech-stack - primarily Java and Java based web-development, angular, databases, frameworks for enterprise system development, enterprise integration patterns, cloud focused architecture and tools. Role involves broad engagement with our wide user base, distributed across the globe to come up with effective user interface for our onboarding and regulatory platform. There is a focus on delivering highly performant solutions that can handle large volumes of data. You will be part of the global team, responsible for requirement gathering, designing and implementing solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. The focus is on solving business problems via technology in a fast-changing environment. The role offers great business exposure working directly with key stakeholders to implement technical deliverables and deliver the next generation of risk management platform, working in an innovative forward-thinking team at the forefront of technological advancements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Basic knowledge of databases and data structure
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Experience in any object-oriented programming language, with willingness to learn and work on any modern technologies.
  • Writes clean code and has good software design principles.
  • Enjoys the full SDLC life cycle from working with users to get requirements, coding and releasing to production.
  • Follows TDD, BDD and Agile software delivery.
  • Keen to continuously learn new technologies and enjoy problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
