About The Position

Every time a customer deploys compute in Microsoft Azure, a critical platform determines how resources are created, configured, and maintained to ensure reliability at massive scale. This team is responsible for building that platform and ensuring that it consistently meets the demands of global cloud usage. You will join a group that manages the distributed control systems responsible for orchestrating compute across regions, fault domains, and lifecycles for one of the largest cloud platforms in the world. The role involves close collaboration with engineers across Microsoft Azure to design and evolve highly reliable services that must adapt to constant change, recover effectively from failures, and directly support customer workloads across the globe. Working within this environment means contributing to systems that operate continuously and must remain dependable under dynamic conditions. The work centers on improving orchestration, strengthening reliability, and ensuring that compute resources are delivered and maintained with precision at scale. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
