As such, we in the Advanced Product Solutions department provide the United States Government and International Partners with remote sensing systems, for time critical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Our ISR Information and Intelligence Engineering group develops algorithms and software for processing, optimizing, and creating intelligence products from these sensors. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to work on our team. In this role, you will be working with a team of collaboratively highly experienced subject matter experts across a variety of disciplines to develop and sustain next generation airborne reconnaissance systems. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your own skillset while contributing to cutting edge products depended upon every day by the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Linux C++ and/or Java development with a focus on application scalability and performance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • BS Degree in Software Engineering or a related major is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
  • Algorithm development and/or implementation (imaging, navigation, communication, etc.).
  • Linux networking or multithreaded application development.
  • Cybersecurity experience (PKI, secure boot, Linux hardening, etc.).
  • Familiarity with imaging systems, control systems, navigation, or ISR.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software development as part of a highly skilled cross-discipline engineering team.
  • Provide direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.
  • Develop high performance Linux software in C++ and/or Java using software and hardware simulators.
  • Integrate software into larger systems in engineering and test labs.
