We are seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of a rapidly growing commercial platform. You’ll build and manage secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable stack, and then effectively debug it, test it and support it live. You will build critical cross-service expertise around Containers, Helm Charts, Linux, and Kubernetes best practices, architecture, design, debugging and troubleshooting. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

2+ years’ experience in design and implementation of large-scale cloud services
2+ years’ experience building extensible and maintainable services
Experience with distributed systems, micro-service architecture, scalability patterns, and high-availability architectures.
Experience with REST Based API’s development, messaging patterns (e.g. Service bus, Event Hub, Storage Queues) and cloud storage technologies ( e.g. Cosmos DB)
Proficient in problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to debugging and performance optimization.
Experience in deploying, monitoring, and operating services in the cloud.
Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and version control systems like Git.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance engineering effectiveness, coupled with a strong curiosity and commitment to continuous learning in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
Perform analysis, identify dependencies and produce design documents for a product area with minimal oversight.
Participate in efforts to break down larger work items into smaller tasks and provide estimations.
Develop high quality secure and compliant solutions.
Leverage sound engineering practices and principles.
Analyze how your features are performing in production to learn and make the product better
Support highly available services used by millions of users on a daily basis
Drive improvements for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets.
Deliver value through a collaborative approach spanning multiple teams across geographies.
Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive project plans, release plans, and work items for the work-group.
