About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 4 months Overview: Seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer II to design, develop, and support scalable applications in a microservices environment. This role focuses on delivering robust Java-based solutions while collaborating across teams to support business-critical systems.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of Java development experience
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Oracle Database
- Experience with system design, testing, and debugging
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Banking or payments industry experience
- Experience with enterprise application frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot
- Build and support microservices-based architectures
- Perform systems analysis, debugging, and testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC
- Lead or support technical projects and mentor junior developers
- Develop technical documentation and implementation plans
