About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join our growing team! This is a UI/UX Design position. Candidates in this position will be responsible for crafting pixel-perfect user interfaces that enhance the usability and overall user experience for a family of web applications. In this role, the UI/UX designer will be responsible for the visual layout, styling of web pages, making key decisions in color, typography, and iconography in component design. Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. -OR- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity -OR- Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Requirements

• Basic understanding using the Linux CLI
• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer
• Proficiency using UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch
• Strong understanding of UI layout principles, design systems, responsive design principles and concepts
• Solid understanding of color theory, typography, iconography, and visual hierarchy
• Familiarity with the Gestalt laws of perceptual organization
• Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and CSS
• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UI/UX design artifacts

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
