About The Position

Humata Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer II to join our innovative team. In this high-impact role, you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our end-to-end applications that power our healthcare platform. You will focus on building robust, scalable full-stack solutions using Python and Go, working across both front-end and back-end systems. You will apply best practices in software development to ensure reliability and performance at scale.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on building and operating backend systems.
  • 3+ years of professional experience primarily with Python and/or Go in a production environment.
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns and architectural best practices.
  • Experience with building and deploying services using microservices, containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications
  • Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience driving features from conception through deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with polyglot environments (e.g., Python for data processing, Go for core services).
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tooling (e.g., model serving, experiment tracking).
  • Experience operating within healthcare technology or other highly-regulated industries, with familiarity with standards like FHIR, HL7, and PHI/HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, especially concerning data encryption and access control for sensitive data.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available and performant backend services and infrastructure, primarily utilizing Python and Go.
  • Create intuitive and dynamic user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks
  • Integrate AI models and algorithms into production-ready applications
  • Develop and maintain resilient, high-throughput backend services and APIs (e.g., RESTful, gRPC) that integrate various components of our core platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on system requirements, performance, and best practices.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, actively participating in code reviews and upholding engineering excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, focusing on debugging and optimizing service performance.
  • Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for service deployment and monitoring.
